Premiere for new Nimbus 250 R

February 09, 2010
The Nimbus 250 R, a classic representative of the Nimbus image, has been given a serious facelift for 2010. Part of the popular Nimbus R series, the Nimbus 250 R was introduced in 2001. The R series was greeted with enthusiasm for its innovative design with round stern and its slightly “pugnacious” look. The boat won the “Utmärkt Svensk Form” industrial design award, and has been a leading star product for Nimbus ever since. The R series is built in three variations, Nimbus 230 R, Nimbus 250 R and Nimbus 300 R. Several hundred boats of each model have now found homes with very satisfied customers on the west coast of Sweden, Oslo and Stockholm; places that feature among the boat’s best markets, owing to the R series’ innovative design and excellent seaworthiness, with safe handling at all speeds and in all weather conditions.

The Nimbus 250 R has been given an overall facelift for 2010 and many properties of this already highly competent boat have been further improved. The major changes are these:
  • New, larger helm with longer sides to protect both helmsman and passengers.
  • Entirely new helmsman’s environment, designed for safe and comfortable voyaging and fast, long-distance cruising.
  • 14” navigation equipment can now be fitted.
  • The teak cabin door has been replaced by an elegant sliding door in smoked glass that slides in beneath the instrument panel.
  • The new windscreen matches the new design and provides better protection.
  • Lots more stowage space under the floor.
  • RE-positioned batteries for better use of stowage space under the aft sofa.
And as the jewel in the crown; Nimbus, working with DLS audio, have developed a customised Hifi system for optimum sound.
